About Me

My Background and Experience

For the past 20 years I have been a citizen diplomat and board member of the Waterville Maine Kotlas Russia sister city committee.  During this time I have hosted over 70 students at my lake house.  Exchange students, tuition students and tourist from all parts of the globe have visited the lake house on East Lake.  Some exchanges have been for a few weeks and some have been for a full school year.  My guests have studied locally at Messalonskee High School, Waterville High School, Thomas  College and Colby College.  As an Air BnB  super host for the past 2 years I focus on making every guest and client have a magical experience. I am a board member of several professional educational and economic organizations  within the state of Maine, USA.

I enjoy watching my son participate in high school sporting events. I am an avid hiker and  explorer of the Maine State wilderness.  From kayaking on East Lake to exploring beaches and Islands on the Maine Coast to hiking the mountains of the great state of Maine.  The state of Maine is one of the most beautiful and safest places to live on this planet.  I enjoy giving my homestays guest guided tours of museums, state parks, EB5 centers and I occasionally visit cities like Boston and New York City.  As a private education counsellor I enjoy giving students advises on the many educational opportunities available in the North East USA.  My consulting is done in a conversational English format that enlightens my clients to all facets of American culture, with an emphasis on trip and visa planning.

Services

Home Stays in the North East USA

Top reasons to visit the lake house on East lake.

To experience American culture.  It is possible to visit museums, high school and university sporting events, State and National Parks;-  even taking a non accredited adult education class.

To make friends.

To learn English.  It is said that spending a month in the USA is equivalent to studying English at a University for a Semester.

To go to a concert, event or seminar.

To go skiing or snow boarding on the olympic Sugarloaf Mountain or a smaller coastal mountain.

Tour a college or university.  Harvard, Yale and Colby College, Thomas College and Maine Central Institute are among my favorites.

To tour a city in the North East USA or Canada.  Boston is a 3 hour drive

Quebec City 3.5 hour drive

Montreal is a 5 hour drive

New York City 8.5 hours drive

Lastly, some guest may want to visit E-B5 centers in Maine, Boston, New York City and Montreal.

Many guest will want to design a trip to do a combination of the above options.

There are many free or low price concerts, events, adult education classes and sporting activities in the area.
